One of the first questions any Delhi business owner asks before commissioning a website is: what is this going to cost me?

It's a fair question, and it deserves a straight answer — not a vague "it depends" that leaves you more confused than when you started.

This is a breakdown of real costs based on what we charge and what you'd typically pay other agencies in Delhi. The numbers reflect work done in 2024–25.

Why does the price vary so much?#

Before the numbers, a quick explanation of why two agencies can quote ₹20,000 and ₹2,00,000 for what sounds like the same thing.

The difference usually comes down to:

  • Who builds it — a freelancer using a theme, a mid-size agency with a team, or a development studio building custom
  • What it's built on — WordPress with a template vs. a custom-coded site vs. a full web application
  • Complexity — number of pages, features, integrations, backend work
  • Design — a template with your colours changed vs. a design created from scratch for your brand

All of these affect the price significantly. A ₹15,000 website and a ₹1,50,000 website are genuinely different products — not the same thing at different margins.

Basic business website#

What this is: 5–8 pages. Home, About, Services, Gallery or Portfolio, Contact. A contact form. Mobile-responsive. Clean design.

Who needs this: Local businesses — a salon, a clinic, a restaurant, a coaching centre, a logistics company, a real estate broker. Something that looks professional and tells visitors what you do and how to reach you.

Typical cost in Delhi: ₹25,000 – ₹60,000

At the lower end (₹25,000–₹35,000), you're usually getting a WordPress site with a premium theme adapted to your brand. Fast to build, looks decent, does the job.

At the higher end (₹45,000–₹60,000), you're getting a custom-designed site built specifically for your business — not a template. Better performance, easier to maintain, no plugin conflicts.

Timeline: 2–3 weeks.

Business website with advanced features#

What this is: Everything in the basic website, plus things like:

  • A blog or news section
  • WhatsApp and call integration
  • Google Maps embed
  • Photo/video gallery
  • Online enquiry tracking
  • Basic SEO setup

Who needs this: A business that wants to generate leads through the website, not just provide contact details.

Typical cost: ₹60,000 – ₹1,20,000

At this level, the site is being built to actually bring in enquiries — not just exist on the internet. Design, loading speed, mobile experience, and SEO all matter here.

E-commerce website#

What this is: A product catalogue, shopping cart, payment gateway integration (Razorpay, PayU, or Paytm), order management, delivery tracking.

Who needs this: A shop or brand selling products online.

Typical cost: ₹80,000 – ₹3,00,000

A basic WooCommerce store for 50–100 products starts around ₹80,000. A custom-built e-commerce platform with inventory management, multiple payment methods, and a branded customer experience is in the ₹2–3 lakh range.

Be cautious of anything under ₹40,000 for e-commerce — what you usually get is a template install that hasn't been properly configured for speed, security, or your specific product catalogue.

Custom web application#

What this is: A website with a backend — user accounts, admin dashboards, bookings, payments, data management. Something that actually does work, not just displays information.

Examples: a booking system, a student management platform, an inventory app, a client portal, a SaaS product.

Typical cost: ₹1,50,000 – ₹8,00,000+

This varies enormously based on what the application needs to do. A basic booking system for a clinic is different from a multi-user platform with billing and reporting.

A rough starting point: if your application has user login, a database, and admin functionality, expect to start from ₹1.5 lakh. Most serious web applications are in the ₹3–6 lakh range.

What about really cheap quotes?#

You'll find people in Delhi offering websites for ₹5,000–₹15,000. Some of these are fine for very basic use cases — a one-page presence so you can share a link on a business card.

The problem comes when:

  • The site is slow (hurts your Google ranking and user experience)
  • It's not mobile-friendly (most Indian users browse on phones)
  • It can't be updated without the developer
  • There's no SEO setup at all
  • The design uses a generic template that looks like 50 other sites

We've rebuilt several such sites for Delhi businesses who got a cheap site built and then realised after six months that it wasn't doing anything for them. That's money spent twice.

Ongoing costs to factor in#

Beyond the initial build, a website has running costs:

  • Domain name: ₹800–₹1,500/year
  • Hosting: ₹3,000–₹15,000/year depending on traffic and requirements
  • Maintenance: Optional retainer, typically ₹3,000–₹8,000/month for updates, backups, security monitoring
  • SEO: Separate from development — this is ongoing work to help your site rank on Google

What does NF Nexa Tech charge?#

We're based in Mahipalpur, New Delhi. Our typical projects:

Project TypeStarting From
Business website (5–8 pages)₹35,000
Business website with blog & SEO₹60,000
Web application (with backend)₹1,50,000
SaaS / product MVP₹3,00,000

We give a fixed quote after a free discovery call — not a vague estimate that changes later. The quote covers design, development, testing, and deployment. Hosting and domain are the client's own ongoing costs.

If you want to discuss what your specific project would cost, get in touch or send a WhatsApp message.

How to evaluate any quote you receive#

When you get a quote from any agency or freelancer, ask these questions:

  1. Is this a custom design or a template? Know which you're getting.
  2. What platform is it built on? WordPress, custom, or something else — and can you update it yourself?
  3. What's included for SEO? Basic on-page SEO should be included. Ongoing SEO is separate.
  4. Who owns the files? The website code and design should be yours when the project is done.
  5. What happens after launch? Is there a support period? What does ongoing maintenance cost?

A higher quote isn't always better, and a lower quote isn't always worse. The right question is whether the person quoting can actually deliver what they're promising.
